The Sparwood was originally designed a few years back for the Tour Divide, the ultra-endurance bikepacking race that follows the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Teravail describes the Sparwood as being ideally suited for “jeep roads, twisty single-track, gravel track and paved connecting sections.”
After testing this tire in the UAE, we found it had the perfect rolling speed and grip for trails like Mushrif Park. This tire would be ideal in the rear... Low weight and extremely predictable handling made it a fast and fun tire to ride!
The Rutland is designed with the unknown in mind, the Rutland takes the guess work out of selecting the right tire for the ride. Ramped, tightly spaced center lugs reduce rolling resistance while more aggressive shoulder and transition lugs provide grip in loose conditions.
The 29 x 2.2" Rutland provides a larger volume option for increasingly popular Cross Country, Gravel and Adventure bikes and offers added traction on single track, packed or gravel paths.
Durable Casing
The durable casing features a layer of woven polymer composite reinforcement between the outer rubber and the inner casing. Located under the sidewall, it provides increased protection against abrasion and sharp debris.
